Start with the problem you want to solve. All courses are self-paced and assume you already composite in Nuke. None requires another course here.
A reference, an image to evaluate, and a practical setup. See how the teaching connects what you notice with what you change.
Camera Realism · practical sample in Nuke
Start with the reference. Look at how glass changes the image, rather than treating every imperfection as an effect to add.
Follow the practical setup in Nuke. Compare the image in the viewer as the nodes are adjusted.
Judge the result against the reference. A more visible effect is not automatically a more convincing image.

Probably the most value packed course on understanding cameras and the intricacies of replicating them.
Top level!
If you’re serious about taking your compositing skills to the next level, Aitor Echeveste’s Advanced Compositing Course is an absolute must. This course goes beyond the basics and dives deep into professional-level techniques used in high-end VFX and film production. If you’re already familiar with compositing and want to push your skills further, this course is one of the best investments you can make. Highly recommended for any serious VFX artist looking to master advanced compositing!
A course I would very much recommend. The content is at a mid-to-advanced level. It is not a copy-and-paste-the-nodes tutorial; it is well structured and every technique applied has sound reasoning behind it. It also works as a guide for understanding how to structure a CGI script logically and efficiently. And it delivers completely on the description of what you can expect from the course (it does not disappoint when it comes to working a raw environment to give it volume and depth, or with particle simulation and integrating effects in Nuke). I did not come away thinking "very nice, very pretty, but how do I apply this in my day to day" — it was learning where you understand how you could apply the techniques taught in any other shot.
I was honestly really impressed by how clearly he explains every single concept. I genuinely enjoyed the course. What I liked most is that he doesn’t just cover the theory — he then goes into Nuke and really breaks down the best practices, as well as the common mistakes you can make when adding these kinds of effects. He also connects everything with the other effects and elements you might be adding to the shot, so it all feels part of a bigger workflow rather than isolated techniques. You also get all the Nuke scripts, which makes it even easier to follow along and understand everything properly. Overall, it’s been an amazing course. absolute cinema!!
One of the best Nuke courses online!! Techniques and tricks to take your comp to another level, I recommend it!!!
Super advanced but explained in a very clear way. It’s not a beginner course, but if you already have some experience, this will push you to a completely different level.
The lensing topics covered in this course are exactly the kind of details and practical tips that can really elevate your work as a compositor. Really useful stuff that makes a noticeable difference in the final result.
A very complete course where you take on a lot of techniques and solutions. Thank you for this course, Aitor, it was needed.
This course is amazing for aspiring/junior compositors wanting to learn what it takes to handle a full CG sequence that are usually reserved for more experienced senior compositors. There is a ton of tips and tricks in here I think all levels of expertise can learn from. I highly recommend if you are currently on the fence about purchasing this course.
i needed more techniques on my skill set for full cg shots and this def helped!
This course is simply amazing. It is super high-level compositing and CG integration, even with a small tutorial on particles. It's seriously like a PhD course in compositing!
Aitor is an incredible teacher, even tough I am a beginner, seeing the workflow of a professional just motivates me to learn and practice all the tips and tricks from the course. Definitely worth it and really recommend it.
This is simply an incredible compositing course! I highly recommend it.
Honestly one of the most complete compositing courses I’ve taken. It doesn’t just teach tools, it teaches how to think like a high-end compositor. You can tell it’s built from real production experience.
A very complete course covering techniques that are not taught anywhere else. Really good, I recommend it.
I loved this course! It is incredibly interesting and goes deep into advanced techniques that are hard to find in other tutorials. The content is very well structured and the explanations are clear, which makes even the most complex subjects easy to follow. I feel this course has genuinely helped me improve my skills and broaden my understanding of professional compositing techniques. If you are looking to progress as an artist, I recommend it enormously. It is a valuable resource for anyone who wants to stand out in the field
I love all the content. Advanced techniques that open the mind to new possibilities.
Loved the course. Learned lots of new techniques in this course. Highly recommended for Compositors.
This course is a real gem for anyone interested in getting better at digital compositing. It is very entertaining and interesting. The videos are perfectly structured and broken down step by step, which makes it very easy and practical to go back to any specific part when you need it. Every lesson draws you in and makes you want to keep going. Aitor is an excellent instructor: he explains clearly, gets to the point, and shares genuinely useful advice for achieving perfect, believable shots. On top of that, his professional approach makes this course an essential tool for anyone who already knows compositing in NUKE and wants to refine their technique. An investment that is absolutely worth it!
This masterclass is outstanding. I bought the bundle that includes both compositing courses. I’ve completed the first masterclass, which combines matte painting, green screen, and CGI, and I’m currently halfway through the second one focused entirely on full CGI. Both courses have far exceeded my expectations. Aitor shares not only his workflow, but also the experience and mindset behind the way he approaches shots, conceptualizes ideas, and develops the final cinematic look of an image. He doesn’t necessarily focus on every technical node setting in detail, but instead teaches the vision, methodology, and artistic thinking of a senior compositor — which is incredibly valuable for any compositing artist looking to grow professionally. I’ve learned a huge number of techniques that genuinely helped me level up my skills. But more importantly, since I’ve always considered myself more of a technical artist than a creative one, Aitor’s artistic vision and approach to making images feel truly cinematic have really helped me develop that side of my work as well.
